John 8:31–36

True Disciples Continue in The Word (31)

1. Continuing reveals genuine faith.
2. Continuing requires submission to Christ’s authority.
3. Continuing produces visible obedience.

True Freedom Comes Through Knowing the Truth (32)

1. The truth is revealed in God’s Word.
2. The truth is centered in Christ Himself.
3. The truth brings liberation to the soul.

Sin Is the Deepest Slavery of the Human Heart (33–34)

1. Sin blinds people to their true condition.
2. Sin rules those who practice it.
3. Sin cannot be overcome by religious heritage.

Only the Son Can Make Sinners Free Indeed (35–36)

1. The Son has permanent authority in the Father’s house.
2. The Son grants freedom by grace.
3. The Son gives freedom that is complete and everlasting.
