At York Bluff Baptist Church, we're always ready to welcome new friends. We hope you'll join us for a worship service, and we want to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Here's what you can expect when you come to our 11:00 a.m. service.
Our church is located at the corner of North Atlanta Ave and 3rd Street, near the Post Office and the Utility Department in Sheffield, AL. Parking is located either in front of the sanctuary building or at the rear of our property (nearest to the Post Office). If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use one of the spots closest to the doors. We like to keep them free for our guests and people who need assistance. You'll find the main entrances to the building well-marked and convenient to your selected parking spot.
Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church. Once you walk in the doors, you'll see that the congregation has all types of people in all kinds of dress. Some will wear suit and ties while others will wear jeans. We encourage all to dress comfortably and modestly.
When you walk in you'll be met by one of our greeters usually stationed at the main entrances. They'll show you where everything is. They'll help you find the nursery and Kid's Ministry area if you have kids. Our greeters can also point you to the restrooms, sanctuary and fellowship area. If you have any questions about the service itself, the greeters are able to provide helpful answers.
Be sure to hang around after the service and introduce yourself to the staff or other church members. We'd love to get to know you so you're a familiar face the next time you come.
